  2. Besides your basic colors you should also get Pearl white, pearl black, silver, sepia, metallic charcoal, moss green, burnt sienna, and ochre yellow. Wish I had known about these colors when I was new to painting.
  3. Thanks for sharing! you've made some pretty cool stuff. You had a picture of a speed trap body that you made from that PVC trim board. There really isn't anywhere near me that has Azek products. Do you know if any of the products major retailers like Menards, Lowes, Home Depot sell are similar buoyancy to that of the product you use?
  4. Welcome to TU........interesting first post LOL. I used to copy baits a very old fashioned way with plaster of paris, but nowadays everyone is so copyright happy that I wouldn't want to copy ANYTHING! Even if you say it's just for personal use. I've read this many times and that personal use usually widens over time. Good luck
  5. New to the game and interested in what colors yall would recommend to start out with. Not looking to buy every color imaginable to start with but maybe 10 or so. Mainly be making shad and bream colored plugs.
  6. hello everyone I want to be upfront and say absolutely NOTHING will be sold its for personal use only, supply isn't there and I throw this in literally everything (so lots of losses) but I was wondering what the best way to mold the lure is and make more is , any help is appreciated thank you

  8. Another way to make blade jigs If you can get a Sparkie mold from doit molds and get the clip and 5/0 mustad spinner bait hooks you can make your own. There are videos on making your own blade baits on you tube. Just dont sell them you'll be fine.
  9. I have custom molds in 3/8oz. & 1/2oz. That I make my blade bodies each mold have 4 cavities each.
  10. We used to put pennies on the railroad track when we were kids. There was no design but they flattened out pretty good...LOL!!! Anyway, those are really cool and it is a fantastic idea, well done!!!!
  11. The best thing to do is talk to your better business bureau, it is free and they will answer or direct you to the right place. Every state has different laws regarding business licenses.
  12. They used to be a common thing at arcades, carnivals, and theme parks, after WW2.
  13. Well done and congratulations!!!
  14. Sorry, but all the baits I've made have been painted and finished. If you look at my gallery photos there are some photos on the first couple of pages of pictures there are some baits I made that haven't been painted yet: https://www.tackleunderground.com/community/profile/14932-mark-poulson/content/?type=gallery_image

  16. Thank you. That is exactly what I lost and want to replace. The site fooled me because I looked under “Tools” at first. Unfortunately they are out of stock. Anyone have one to sell/trade?

There is always a chance to sell it to one person but not always likely. Biggest problem I see is shipping cost....List it and see is the only way.
  18. I read a lot of groups, and almost 10115463547347367589706033523462% universally when somebody posts, "Want to sell as lot. Will not separate, and I MEAN IT DAG NAB IT," the first 5-20 response are, "Well, let me know if you decide to separate." It's a nice thought to just get out clean, but unless you are willing to take a huge hit on value it's pretty unlikely. Most of the groups also do not allow you to post eBay links. You have to list ON THEIR GROUP. If they didn't, I'd suggest posting your stuff on eBay one at a time as you have time and list your eBay link in the groups. You can still sell on eBay though. I don't know. do we have a classifieds board here? Yep looks like it. https://www.tackleunderground.com/classifieds/
  19. Can not answer your question about acid. But always wear a mask and have a vent fan running too!!
  20. Try fishingskirts.com they have a production tool that's green.
  21. it is my first time making soft lure but while making them i think i left it a bit long in the pot and the liquid started to turn like motor oil instead of white i used deadonplastix and i have inhaled the fumes without respirator until the end and was wondering if anyone knows any SDS of deadonplastix. next time if i make soft lures i will certainly wear a mask due to the thread i read about it turning it to acid so thats why i am a bit worried. The liquid was not black and clumped so was wondering if it was not at the stage where it was gassing off acid
  22. I have seriously lost my tool and am not seeing its replacement on Barlow’s, etc. It was green, about 10”-12” long and about 4” wide. Bought it several decades ago. Ideas on getting a replacement are most welcome.
  23. Can you send a couple pics of what the bait looks like after you make it more buoyant? I would also love to see some pics of the pvc baits you've made. That is a neat idea.
  24. Wow, that's pretty interesting. I didn't know that there were so many.

Depends on how much you want to defend your idea/patent if there is one. Also you will need deep pockets and lawyers to protect it. If you have all that then you can do what you want. I look at it this way if it was my idea then I would want to protect it as much as possible from others copying it.

Curious as I don't understand how connecting a blade ( making a chatterbait ) is so frowned upon but we can copy and even mold an original lure and no one seems to care . Thanks Guys
