PATRIOT SHAD
I've been thinking of doing this for a long time but I needed a big bait in order to do it. I'm not an American as you all know and I hope you don't take offence of me doing this but my flag just doesn't lend itself to pouring.
The blue head has large silver flake in it although it's hard to see from the photo. This is the first two that I did and I made a few mistakes that I won't repeat now that I see the solution; but that is how we all learn.

Here is my baby bass try... Still needs a little something..
They are extremely nice in person but they still need a little something I think.. Guess I'll play with the colors a bit. The body is light green (M-F's new baby bass color), head is olive colored and the markings are black/brown..
Tried to give them to a friend that fishes but he says.."I can't bring myself to use a baby to catch a big one." WHAT!!!!
Weird friend...right!!!
Anyway, any suggestions OR let them roll as is??!!

Laminates
Ok figured I would try some laminates. not as easy at looks, any tips from you guys who make these. I can't imagine having any real business selling these as they are just too time consuming. Any way to make them easier?

My first attempts at the paddle tail tube swims...
Had to upload the top and head shots on these as well as the final pack. What a blast to make!!! You can rally let it all go on these and so just about anything. I am trying hard to stay away from the paint with these but a nice scale pattern might catch a few more fishermen!!!

New Swimbaits My Design
Here are some new swimbaits along with the master that I carved. Each bait is 3 colors and the middle color is a core not a vein.

Gut-See Frog
This is my latest frog. It's hollow just like the Gut-See Mino. The main color is light watermelon with gold highlight and the core is black with lumina black.

What Can Deduce from this Picture - Other than the fact that I need to make a bigger injector...
Vodkaman and I were having a discussion about how different molds fill, and coincidentally the next day I finished this mold. My biggest injector will not fill this mold, but it is a great example of how this style mold fills. I shot it three times to make sure the physical results were the same.
Yes its a 21 cavity bottom inject style mold.
Anyway: Are there any useful conclusions you can draw from this picture?

Gut- See Mino
This is a design that I worked on for a couple of months. The internal color is also a hollow space with a hook slot.

Shad Attempt 4 1st Shot(b)
I finally finished this mold today. I will need to make a few tweaks before cutting any more of this pattern, but its finally good enough to show. I was making some other baits so I just tried some things with the colors I was already using. The "laminates" turned out much better than I expected. I think with the right choice of colors this bait will not need to be painted. Just add an eyeball and a spot. I had a whole pack of craft eyes for it on my desk... well some of you have seen my desk... LOL.

Tube Swimmer
Here's a tube swimbait that I just did. It cost me two burnt fingers. There are bubbles in it but I had to rush it as my fingers were killing me. There are base colors and then nothing but clear after. The idea for this came to me at 4:30 this morning.

Goby
This is my goby molded from sculpy. I like using clay for the master as it is much more forgiving than wood or metal. The only drawback is that you can't retain the master.
The color is one I just put together for a customer.

Absorbed colors
I posted about pouring some plastic out on glass, letting it cool then putting different colored baits on the cooled plastic to absorb some color, here is one of my first attemtps at getting some purple absobtion on a smoke colored bait
They come out nice and is way different then what you would normally see, I can roll out 200 of these on a flat surface, let them sit for a while and they all come out the same way for the most part,
will try some more with different colors
