Yall remember the post a year ago when someone asked if a bass would eat a TURTLE!!! Ok maybe yall said no!!! Heck even I thought no!!! But SEB said they would eat a TRUCK LURE!! I got him hooked on this lure makin thing.. but he is so A D D.. he got bored making lures that looked like bait.. So what did he do!! HE MADE A FREAKING TRUCK!!! ill take the prize for the ugliest. this 40 pound wolffish took my 6 oz shad in white with a pink throat 3/0 treble with a bass skirt attatched in white and black. this fish was so ugly he didnt even come into the boat.

I notice some of the big pike shown on here have been caught on huge lures up around 30cm, eg: mangeboy79. The Barramundi we get over here get to over 130cm, but I dont think anyone would throw a 30cm lure at them. This fish was 96cm and quite happy to eat a 63mm crankbait, and I have caught other fish over the metre on the same lures. Gets me thinking though, maybe I should try some of those big lures.

I caught this one at the local pond. It's no giant but it is the very first one I caught using a swimbait I made. I wanted to say thanks to everybody for the incredible information. I can only hope to pass on anything I will learn during this lure making journey. Still cant paint!! Ha Ha

It's seldom I'm not throwing one of my own lures, but when I'm not, I'm most likely casting something made by another TU member. Member Boone made the special chartreuse blade-bait that this one inhaled and got my spring started off on the right foot. Thanks Jeff and Larry!!! Dean

Caught that sucker the first time i fished that swimbait. I must of fished it for a good 3 hours before i got bit but i got what i came for. I was amazed but not suprised that i got bit. As far as fullfilment from one fish it doesnt get much better than catching them on your own creations.

Yea, I know im going to get some smack for this one. I just had to brag a little. 9-1 and a 8-12 Big one caught on a home made buzzbait the other caught on a jerkbait, One hour apart. One day im going to remember to shove one of my baits down these hogs throats and get you a great pic.

This one was intended for muskies but proved to be more attractive to pike. Caught a number of mid to small sized pike on this one. Was made with minimal ballast weight to allow it to be ripped over shallow weed tops. Link to the bait: http://www.tackleund...index.php?n=787

This is the best year I've had for catching bass over 5 pounds (in Canada that's that decent bass) Swimbaits are not a magic bait, but they do have many applications to catch huge bass.
