Vintage Green TN shad

Vintage Green TN shad

Carved from another piece of homegrown paulownia. Painted with acrylics and covered in tabletop. Happy with everything except the action on this one. Too wide....... Find getting these wide bodies to swim the way I want the most challenging thing I have run into so far.

I like this greenish paint design , .....welldone , Vic !

Thanks Dieter. I believe it is one of my best so far. Too bad the bait is a reject. Will make some real nice wall decor. Still working the bugs out of this pattern but getting better.

This pattern reminds me of the old "Doll, Top Secret" bait. I think you did a great job on this one. The original Doll top secret baits had an amazing "search" wiggle because of bill placement and it would almost never run the same wiggle. I remember that fish would almost knock the rod out of your hand with these old baits because it ran so weird, fish could not seem to zero in on it so it resulted in a hard hit....this one looks a lot like it's shape.
