A batch of WEC E1 copies. Competition balsa (light!) with Lexan lips, epoxy undercoat and topcoat, weight .40 oz First cranks I've done in a couple of months - feels good to get back to it!

Aaron, I used a disk sander to do the tapers, then a Dremel sanding cylinder to knock off the edges of the blank, then 220 grit paper to finish shaping. The balsa was "competition grade", which is very light and soft - so shaping goes very fast. The hard thing is keeping from taking off too much material, too fast. I don't recommend light weight balsa, just used it b/c I had some on hand.
