Report reply RayburnGuy 1,341 Posted March 15, 2013 Nice Joe. Did you get a weight on her? Share this comment Link to comment
Report reply joetheplumber 136 Posted March 15, 2013 He tried to but the batteries went dead in the digital scale he has. He took some measurements but I haven't talked with him to see what they came out to be. My guess is its 9-10 lbs. The one he caught just after was a little smaller, probably around 8- 8.5lbs. I was glad to see him finally catch a few good ones. I have landed more than my share of trophy bass over the years while he's been fishing with me. These came from Florida in the St.Johns River...I think......Joe Share this comment Link to comment
Report reply RayburnGuy 1,341 Posted March 16, 2013 You "think" they came from the St Johns River? And how many ice chests full of beer did you take with you on this fishing trip? lol Share this comment Link to comment
Report reply joetheplumber 136 Posted March 16, 2013 That's funny! lol...my buddy went down there with one of the guys in his bass club. I stayed back in NC and got the the play by play over the phone each day. I know that the St Johns River was the place they started at but not sure if they stayed there the entire time. They fished for 7 days and he said the wind blew about 20-25 everyday . Share this comment Link to comment
Report reply RayburnGuy 1,341 Posted March 16, 2013 Oh OK. Thought you might have been trying to hide something there for a minute. You know how suspicious us fishermen are of each other. :-) Share this comment Link to comment
Report reply joetheplumber 136 Posted March 17, 2013 If you think bass fisherman are bad about hiding info you should see the speckled trout fisherman around here! I usually am pretty good about sharing tips, tricks and locations to most of the anglers I run into. Heck I know some guys who won't even buy fishing lures if there are other folks in the tackle shop for fear of someone seeing that "magic" lure........Joe Share this comment Link to comment
