Pikie Lures

Two "Pikie" style lures , also in a crakled finish , ..the brown one was the very first attempt , did not turn out that well , as I've stroked the brush in same direction applying both cracklelure varnish and to color , ....crosswise strokes generate a much better and richer patterns.

The brown lure also sports my first attemt to heat-bend my 1,5mm polycarbonate to make up for the typical "Pikie" lip , ..just used a lighter flame and kinked the felt pen-marked lip over the edge of a steel block , ......sadly the temperature window between getting soft enough for bending and scorching is very small , ...so the rim of the lip is somewhat blackened now , ..but at least it worked out .
