Golden Firetiger

This is a little 3.5" stick-bait made out of balsa and hand-painted in what I am calling a golden fire tiger. I am hoping to mimic all the golden fire tiger colored minnows that the smallmouth love to feed on in southwestern Michigan. Anyways tell me what you think: comments and critiques would be much appreciated; but remember I am new at this!

This lure making business is way too addicting...

Good looking bait man! I like your painting style and the topcoat looks great on this one. That Smallmouth/Rapala replica you posted is nice too. If you'd like to check out some awesome handpainted lures do a Google search for "Swift Creek Lures online gallery". I have some of Bill's lures including the "Chaser-Smallmouth" lure pictured in the "It's spring in VA!" album and his work is totally out of this world! Bill is a retired art teacher from New York City now living in Virginia (on a lake of course, LOL) and this guy gives new meaning to the term "Hand painted". He catches fish with them too.

Anyway, keep up the good work and post up some more pics soon.
