6" wood crank bait. Turned on a lathe with hand carving tools. The pieces of wood I use for my home made applications are random pieces of scrap lumber. This particular one was made from a piece of pine that I turned down. Then I cut the angle on the head to attach the diving bill.  100% thru wire construction including the hook hangers. Wood is sealed with spar urethane to prevent water logging and top coated with a hardware store style spray paint from a can. Finally epoxy coated for further water proofing. The bait shown is shallow diving with a wide wobbling action...
