Thanks ddl, I cut the top and side profile on bandsaw 1st then mark for carving, the actual carving  takes about 10 minutes. I use a chisel for this and the wood is western red cedar.......glider

Ddl ,I have carved many ! I make lots of gliders and originally only made the big cranks for my own personal use, I'm getting as many requests for them as I am the gliders now which is a pain because I have to hand carve them . I do have a bit of video of one of the cranks but don't know how to put on here, I think I would have to put it on youtube and then link but not being overly knowledgeable about such things I have no idea ! I do have the clip on my f.b page ,2nd video down if want to check it out or send friend request,  hope I'm not breaking any rules here !.....glider

No problem, like I say I've fairly recently had to learn some technology ,i.e computers, camera's, social media etc. (To much fishing)I am trying to get some better video, that was pretty much my first real attempt so not the best...........glider

Will do, did you like the action ? Obviously goes deeper and faster when needed , I filmed the clip in a shallow pool to show the action at slow and medium speeds. I primarily troll these ones at about 2 metres. .....glider
