After seeing Rapala's "Hot Steel" pattern I had to try something similar. After foiling the bait I tried twisting the eraser end of a pencil on the foil to get a sort of "engine turned" look. It worked to some degree, but not very visible. Will have to experiment with this some more as it looks quite good on Rapala's baits.
