CNC Molds N Stuff 627 Posted August 7, 2011 Report Share It may not finish. Its on the second cavity of four, and I realized when I heard it scream that I had made a mistake. In my efforts to make the cut faster and more efficent I elected to take a direction along the hook slot. Its fine up to the hook slot, but the first cut past the hook slot is full depth and full width of the cutter. It made the first one, but its got three more to do before this half of the mold is done. I'll change the direction of the cut before I make another one to eliminate that kind of load on my cutter in the future. Thank goodness this is one of my slightly more expensive AlTin coated mills. If it wasn't I'm sure it would have gummed up and crashed at that point. Quote Link to comment
