Hey Vic I will make a guess about this one. I think that this will be a thru wired bait and when the wire is passed thru the body that a swivel or some sort of hook hanger will be inserted in the indention and the thru wire will be passed thru it to hold it in. that is my thoughts.

Some pretty cool shapes. I assume your using a lathe? What is the purpose of the indention on the belly of the lures?
