I created the body separate using aluminum cut from a pop can, bent over and secured it to the hook with epoxy - then tied on the chartreuse and white synthetic material, epoxied the eyes.

For the scale effect I on the body, I used some techniques from the hard bait forum using mesh netting, aluminum tape, and e-tex. This was all done and dried before I tied on any materials.]]></description>

I still have issues with the little air bubbles despite blowing/breathing on them. Epoxy is a hassle, I'm interested trying the product that Loon puts out called Hard Head I believe. I use these flies for pike mostly. I'm also interested in tying bigger flies with the different synthetic materials that are out there. I don't care for the prices of material in the fly shops. If you have found any unique/creative sources for synthetic materials I'd love to hear about it.]]></description>
