Flashabou Tangled

Anyone else have trouble with regular flashabou tangling and getting all matted up in the second hook on a inline spinner. I made a copy of a tinsle twin and it looked good till i started casting it. The flashabou is a rat mess now.

I've had it get caught and tangled in the blades and split rings of regular spinnerbaits. I just clip it off until it doesn't tangle any more. It's very effective, so I still use it, even though it's a pain sometimes.

But I only use it for my personal lures. I don't sell.

another trick is to shrink wrap your hooks so the shrink wrap is push all the way down the hook where it divides into three this will keep the flash from sticking in your hook.It was in a musky hunter a while back and it works quite good

With me, it is usually the front hook, which doesn't get shrink wrapped, on a big bucktail that takes all the tangles. I believe the large size flashabou is 1/16 inch. Personally, I don't have much luck on flashabou. I tend to use more silicone skirts. Musky Glenn

You might want to give H2O from Fly Tyers Dungeon a try. I've only used the silver, but it's stiffer than Flashabou and less prone to tangling. The hanks are smaller than Flashabou, but they're only a buck apiece.

the main problem do not came from the treble hook.

the reg flashabou is always tangled all together and they react really don't well when the heavy sun came into the game,that's the reason why big co like musky mayhem and all the others NEVER use reg flashabou!
