mark poulson
I did a search but I couldn't find an answer to this question, so please help me. Why is iodized salt, like table salt, bad to use in soft plastics?
patrick reif
Iodized table salt only contains 0.01%(one one hundredth of 1%) iodine. It's scarcely even detectable. I've used both iodized and non-iodized salts in my baits, and have had greater problems from using too much softener than I have the different salts. Of course I'm not making much money off of my baits, but my suggestion is to use what you have on hand before you make a special trip to the store. I can't tell it makes a difference.
