hey guys im brand new to plastic making or any lures for that matter i really want to get started in this ....i mostly fish smaller creeks and rivers and just have some ideas of what sizes and colors i want to do but i have no idea where to start ...any help is much appriciated

Go ahead and do injection by pass the hand pour thing . Most manufactuers of molds sell starter kits that you can choose the mold or molds in the kit . sounds like you need panfish type baits . Bass Tackle and Jacobs Baits has the best selection . I like the Jacobs injector for single shots . I would also go with the large injector up front . That way later you won't have to up grade .

prepare to get addicted, spend a lot of time on the forums before you jump in. its an expensive hobby and you will not save money in the long run haha.

 

figure out what baits / molds you want and start small, as you get better you can expand. there are a handful of plastic suppliers out there, get samples from them to see what you like.

thanks guys but i dont need panfish type baits...i go after the bass ...there are some pigs in these creeks around here i fish .....consistantly catch 2-3 pounders....but there are alot in the 4-5 pound range too and  bigger ...ssome of the creeks tho 1-2 poundrs are all ya get but they still alot of fun

I wouldn't pass on hand pouring as it really depends on what you are looking to do.
