gone2long
If you mean Del Mart Molds yes they are very good quality and no he is the manufacturer of his molds, I do recommend that you order through Lurecraft as they carry his molds and delivery is good. CNC Molds N Stuff
I have seen some of Del's work and its very good. Delbert makes his own molds in Phoenix. He used to be a regular here on TU, but I have not seen him on in a while. Edited April 23, 2014 by Bob La Londe

flbasspond
I have several of his molds and all are top shelf...very easy to pour. -Dave
alsworms
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Del was one of the first to make these high-detailed aluminum molds. GREAT, GREAT product, but I think he fell victim to supply and demand. It happens.
gone2long
Think your right on both points.
nedyarb
I may be wrong on this, but I was led to believe he makes different ( non fishing ) type products that he makes his real money with. So the lure molds get second priority!
gone2long
It's been a long time but I though I heard he was an aerospace engineer?
DaveMc1
It's been a long time but I though I heard he was an aerospace engineer? He's a machinist, I have hear a TON of BS come out of his mouth over the years so I am hard pressed to believe anything he says.
CNC Molds N Stuff
He does/did aerospace part machining, and has recently started doing firearms parts. I seem to recall seeing a message in another forum that he was waiting on his approval as a firearms manufacturer (FFL-7) from the State Department to manufacturer restricted serial numbered parts like receivers. I believe he was working with Ruger on the .22 magnum version of the 1022 rifle. Before somebody jumps in to correct me the ATF does issue FFLs, but the State Department takes a bite too for manufacturers. When you are doing machine work its easy to get a taste of design in a lot of areas. I could claim to be a medical equipment designer by that stretch. What I really did was design and make a small bracket and hanger to mount the dispenser for disposable covers to the equipment instead of having to put hanger studs in the wall for it. Basically a plate with two screw holes, and two hanger studs. But now I am a medical equipment designer. LOL.
CNC Molds N Stuff
P.S. In another forum Del said he had handed off management of the mold business to April.
