Unique Soft Plastic Idea

Recommended Posts

Maybe you guys have seen something like this before, but a guy posted this on a facebook swap shop earlier called "Bass Baits Buy and Barter" Seems like a super good idea.  If he is the first to sell something like this, I have a feeling he may have wanted to keep it to himself until he could make it his own.10524316_914491821899850_7071141779717395019_n.jpg10543641_914491778566521_663212077008714611_n.jpg

Try making a 1000 of them and let me know how you make out  It may be unique and is prolly great for the home pourer but the price point would be astronomical, think about it I see a half dozen baits with eyes and 2 color injection in 1 of those sticks what would you have to charge per bait? But I do agree it's pretty cool looking that's for sure.

He's not the first to do it...I've tried it myself but mine didn't workout as well as those. Those are real beauties. I am part of that Facebook group and I saw those there as well. He auctioned them off and they sold for $18 if I remember correctly. But I don't remember the quantity sold...8-10 sticks maybe?

No...I've seen it before which is why I tried it. But these pic posted here are the nicest ones ive ever seen. With as many garage/basement bait makers out there it is so hard to come up with something truly original.

I has been done for sure, don't know who was the first.  I used a sluggo mold (durhams) and strung several smaller super fluke baits in series initially on dental floss and then the ends were threaded through small holes drilled in the mold and taped to keep taught.  The poured the clear to encapsulate. While still warm the floss was pulled.  The in series look was hmmm stupid looking so then started to glue them offset to one another and use the same stringing process.  Better but not until I went with two piece molds using similar concept were the results better.   I also used colored beads, feathers, dead minnows, photocopied fish images on copy paper,  fish skeleton printed on lens paper, and countless other things while playing in the shop.  Probably about 7 to 8 years ago.  I know others were doing it prior and threading crappie baits on the the floss.
