Does the resin like smooth on and alumilite float ? or do I need to get the featherlite resin? I am molding a 6 in rat wake bait that I made. They also make 2part foams that cure rock hard but these will float on the surface and take a lot of lead to sink them, it depends how deep you want your lures to be in the water. Basically it is a 2 part resin that has microballoons premixed into each part. Over time the balloons separate and rise to the surface so you have to shake it vigorously every time you use it. I buy the resin and microballoons separately and mix them myself. Solid lures made from Urethane resins will sink without adding buoyancy.
