djs
I am needing some help with making a chrome color for some swimbaits. I have tried lots of silver glitter but I wished there was something better.

Anglinarcher
If you come up with a chrome color that works, you will be a ROCK STAR among lure makers. A silver color, not all that reflective, can be made like ipt suggest. Better yet is if you use a Silicone mold, you can dust the mold with a pearl cosmetic powder then pour with a black, giving a fair silver, but ...... Please, find a good chrome options for us. It has proven elusive even in the hard bait world for the custom maker.
Slammingjack
LC has a pewter. I have it. Kind of a silver gray. I'll try it. But I think it will be too gray. Guess adding a little pearl white might help. What the heck I'll give it a try. If it don't work I'll have a new color lol
MonteSS
As said there is no chrome and nothing close
Frank
You can put silver Mylar in your mold and shoot around it. Go to Spikeit and get some Mylar and some bond coat, coat the Mylar with the bond coat, let it dry. Lay it across the mold where you want it and shoot the bait. You will have to trim off the flashing and may be dip it after the eyes are on. There won't be any stretch in these baits due to the Mylar not being flexible. Takes a bit of doing but is possible. Then you will have chrome. Just keep and open mind.
