Worms

Recommended Posts

Having fun just trying to gather all the "stuff" I'm going to need in getting started, I've got a feeling I'm getting into trouble since I stumbled onto this site!! Now to the question: When I look at the worm molds w/curl tails, they are flat, once you pour them will they have a natural twist or will they just be flat? I will be trying to duplicate a monster worm and need the twist in the tail. Thanks again...having a blast on this site!

They are flat. But, the bigger the curl tail, the more it will curl in the water. If the tail on your mold has 2 full circles (or twists) in the tail, then it will really put out some movement.

What happens is the plastic cools in that curled position. Since it's flat, it's very limber. So, once it gets in the water, the tail naturally tries to uncurl. That's what causes the movement.
