Big Splash Posted January 2, 2005 Report Share Posted January 2, 2005 I'm working on a mold for a new minnow type bait, and I'm wondering if anyone has good ideas for getting scale patterns onto the finished bait? Jerry, I know we traded molds and one of yours had a pattern that looked like thule cloth. Was this done by gluing the cloth to a solid master? Anyone else have ideas? Sprayed the scale netting with spray adhesive, apllied it to the master just like foiling a bait, then gave it a few good coats of clear acrylic. mold as usual, just use caution when removing the master, the scale netting gives it alot more "tooth" nice effect though.
