Senkosam
I updated this blog with recent, new lure ideas, as well as designs from last year that worked well. http://senkosam.blogspot.com/ Feel free to browse and ask questions. Many of the fusion designs created from two baits will be molded (when I get a chance) in plaster or D's putty. Note the sophisticated tools used to join the lure parts. (The iron was $13 from Radio Shack and I stole some of my wife's candles.) (The iron is used to seal the surface and melt irregular surfaces on molded baits (flashing). I'm also investigating the three rates of fall of soft sticks, matching specific plastic amounts and salt quantities. (very slow, medium and fast) This assumes the hook has weight and the worm is very soft for the most action. (Very slow for jerking near surface; Medium for a slow shallow water drop; Fast for a fast deep water drop.) Senkosam
Thanks Shmang, Want to use up some of those dusty worms and grubs? Get a candle, a pair of scissors and a soldering iron (trigger type) and you'd be amazed at the cool combos you can up with, plus it's a great offset to cabin fever and the designs can usually be molded! You can even add things to your own molded baits (larger or smaller tails or a craw bug as a tail; or a ringworm as the body to a craw head, etc.) When I got spike-it dye 10 years ago, I played with dye colors all that winter and must have dyed a hundred plastics for spring. Of course no one told me the dye migrates eventually, throughout the entire bait!
