I was just wondering if the foam is dense/hard/rigid, however you want to phrase it, to hold in screw eyes, or is thru wire the only option?? I would think that you could option for longer screw eyes and you'd be okay, but thats speculation. I dont really have to deal with muskies though. You might want to make your own screw eyes out of SS wire (Ala Carolina Chip) and Epoxy them in instead of using concentional screw eyes. Cliff Posted February 9, 2005 Report Share Posted February 9, 2005 I've used the self made screw eyes epoxied in on some prototypes that caught muskie and held up with the 16# foam, but I'd feel alot better with thru-wire. If your planning on making your own molds, it's really just as easy (or easier) to make them thru-wire. I usually make a prototype mold that has no eyes or lip slot to tweek it how I want it, then make the mold with lip and thru-wire after all the bugs are worked out and has the action/depth I want.
