Jann's powder paint

Recommended Posts

I have not used Jann's. However don't limit yourself to Pro-tech powder paints. I have used Pro-tech, Herbie's Magic Dust and other comercial name brands that I got free. All of them worked to my expectations. Jann's is privately labeled, so as far as we all know it could be Pro-tech. Buy a small batch and let us know what kind of results you got. It will help everybody make a decision down the road.

Jann's powder paint is Pro-Tec powder paint just relabeled under their name. Jann's is listed as a retail partner on CSI's (Pro-Tec) website. In all our experience, Pro-Tec powder paint is far superior to all others. It is more fluid and covers better than Herbie's. Also, Pro-Tec powder paint is designed to work in fluid beds to help in the painting process. Check out TJ's Tackle (www.tjstackle.com). They carry every color of Pro-Tec powder paint and are very competitive if not better priced than other places.

I use the Janns also. Works great. I have some Black form another company. Every time I use it it frustrated the hell out of me. It coats way too thick and has little balls of powder in it.

All powder paint is not equal. If Janns is using ProTek then I do like the ProteK powder.
