    I talked with them the other day. They "said" everything was on order, just slow getting it in. Said their factory was several hundred thousand behind.

    That is a special run color for Eakins. You would have to buy at least 1,000 tabs to it done and the company may still not match it exactly since Eakins is the buyer for that color. They wouldn't want to take a chance on making Eakins mad and losing the business. The Natures Edge Burnt Amber/Orange is as close as I've seen. It is lighter than that, but does not have the brightness of most oranges. It's the orange you see in the jig pictured. You could probably combine it with some brown and dull it down a little more.

    Smalljaw, the first patent zman got was dealing with the blade. That was circumvented by changing the blade and was how all the knockoffs were able to stay. The second patent was a "design" patent and was what allowed them to sue Phoenix and win. That's when all the others disappeared. I'm assuming strike king is getting around it due to the different attachment method or the fact that they are just a powerhouse and zman doesn't want to waste money in litigation for years. I used to make them using all parts from Barlow's and zman made sure I knew of the patents, which is their first step in building a case against you. That's why I stopped making them.

    You can have a manufacturer run custom colors for you if you are a business and can buy directly from them. Generally the min. Qty though to ensure an even color mix is 1,000 tabs. Tony, I'll agree it's more fun than mowing the grass, but if your getting paid for those yards, the yards are much more profitable....lol

    I buy the 1lb rolls from American fishing in a bronze finish for some of my rigs. It is listed in lb test but there is also normally a diameter listed as well. If u have a tax I'd u can buy directly from them

    I will be interested in seeing them as well. I know that a dremel tool can work wonders for getting hooks into molds though depending on the design. Out of all the molds I own, only about 25% are resaleable due to that little tool.....lol

    These are1/8" diameter, 1 3/4" Weed guards I purchased from Fishingskirts.com. I have now switched to a shorter guard and have had these sitting around for a while. Payap, check, or money order.     Cast is by far not a small company. They do a lot of stuff for major manufacturers. Cast actually bought out lurepartsonline.com a couple years ago and use it as a retail front for much of their stuff.

These were in original packaging, however the black nickel coating is shinier than most black nickel. More in between nickel and the normal black nickel coating.
