    Best Bender?

Do you have a price range you are looking at? There are a lot of good benders out there, let alone those that do it with nothing but a set of the round pliers.

  6. I found out by mistake that the Diamond finish in the aerosol can is a flat finish. I thought that I was doing something wrong so I looked it up on their web site. "If a flat finish is what you are after. Use the aerosol"

    Patent on Delta Blades?

Patents only last so long and the Delta blades have been out for at least 40 years that I know of. Knock offs of that blade and lures made with that blade are everywhere. Was there one, probably. Is there a current one, I doubt it very strongly.

Soft Bait Glue - PVC Cement

Just my 2 cents but I do know a little about pvc pipe glue . (Master plumber) I’ve tried glue with limited success . They still get knocked off . Pvc glue is a little flexible but a little to hard for soft baits . With all that said if you can find shower pan liner glue which is pvc glue just WAY more flexible than regular pvc glue wether it be heavy body or less. The only problem I see with liner glue is it’s a greenish color.

    Mold making

made 6 molds. 4 molds made out of 100G epoxy + 50g Aluminium oxide powder 2 mold made of just 130g epoxy the 2 molds of pure epoxy was just...bad but.. the 4 Aluminium oxide works great. I see if I get the time to test em more...and if it works I post how to in Homebrew Tools. (and yes it pull heat from the pour quick)

I understand, just stating what is possible. There will be several other posts on image reduction. Probably a Google search will reveal more options. As for changing TU, it is a file storage problem, it costs a lot of $$$. Dave

    Polycryl (balsa hardner???) Testing?

There's a stick at the top of the Hard Baits Forum about PVC. It's not everything, but it's a good overview.

    Patent on Delta Blades?

I'm sure there would be a patent on those blades, but I really have no need to know for sure. The patent would make it illegal for you to manufacture those blades without being licensed to do so, whether it be for personal use or resale. When you purchase the blades from a manufacturer (in this case, Worth), you are allowed to use those blades.

    Gelatin Bio Plastic??

Before getting into bait manufacturing we worked 20 years in the paintball industry. In the early 2000's RP Scherer tried using the corn starch based plastic/gelatin mixture. It worked well, but water would still break down the shell over time just as if they were using straight gelatin. About 8 years ago there was a start up company called Hydrotech that actually developed a plastic that could be used with a full water based fill & not break down. It instead relied on bacteria to naturally break it down. The company lost investors & never made it off the ground but I do know one of the guys that was there during the development. I may have to send him a message & see if he would share what type of plastic they were using.

I use Photoshop as a photographer. This image was 5.28Mb. I did a little cropping to tidy up, then reduced the pixels to 1000x670 then saved at quality-1. Final size 49kb.

Zooming, over-zooming, and cropping are low tech ways of reducing file size.

    overcoat for chrome?

I got some chrome heat transfer foil. Now I am trying to figure out a good way to apply it without a heat transfer machine. I bought teflon sheets, .31" silicone pad, and I have an iron. So far, this will not work. I have tried a few different adhesives in a soft foam press. This has led to some interesting effects. I have also tried vaccu-forming the foil over the lure with a heat gun after applying adhesive. Then putting it in a press till it cured. This has led to the best coverage. Adhesives used so far: 1) Elmers craft adhesive 2) Four drops Devcon 2 ton reduced with 2 drops Denatured alcohol. I also will purchase some 3m spray adhesive (probably 90, since it handles heat better and has the adjustable spray).

    Heavier Arky Jig Mold

Is is possible that you can send me these pics as well? im interested in making these!

Yes, it was a most unfortunate situation were I lost years worth of images, despite editing the images down in size. The problem for image posters these days, is that the modern digital cameras emit such large file sizes that memory allocations are soon swallowed up. Also, the ability of the average poster who is not 'in to' photography, struggles with the reduction technology. It is possible to amply represent a 10 meg image with a file size of less than 100Kb. These days, if I want to post a pic, I first upload to Photo-bucket, and then post the link. Thanks for thinking of me Dave

    Liquid UV Treatment

Oh ok when you were asking about different colors of Uv I though of glow powder. I have never seen different color UV.

I think its a really unfortunate drawback to this great forum, that once you have posted a certain ammount of pics ( even if few and far between) you are unable to ever post anymore due to using up attachments quota. I find it less interesting when you are unable to see pic's of various experiments from the likes of guy's like 'vodkaman 'and probably lots of others, because they are no longer able to illustrate with pictures. Is there no way for old attachments to be deleted , or something else that could be done to solve this ! FREE OUR ATTACHMENTS T.A ! FREE THE VMAN ! (and anyone else it may concern )..

    Liquid UV Treatment

Cheers Frank. As long as it doesn't affect the original intending colour ( unless it is placed under a black light). I do have a lot of clearer transparent colours in my range which I would not want to lose however, wanting to enhance them through using a UV liquid. The attached pic is black naturally and the same under the black light I have sent off a contact us form to Lureworks and wait for their response

    Liquid UV Treatment

No the UV stuff is an amber color that can’t be seen unless you add to much. In clear plastic it will take a blue/violet hue and if added to black it looks more of a violet type color. Are you sure you mean UV cause from the pic it looks like glow powder. UV for the most part can only be seen with a black light. Please clarify so you don’t order the wrong stuff.

    Liquid UV Treatment

I'm getting specks through the finished product after, adding to virgin plastisol. Thought of doing the unthinkable and whisking the plastisol with a mixer on the drill, then heating a little then whisking again before it reached 100c Degree The specks may be a good thing, Who knows how a fish thinks and how aquatic life exhibits their colouring attributes I only have the green UV powder but I'm looking for some blues and a red if available The UV glo 130 seems to be an opaque colour which will be the dominating colour I guess. I'll send a message to LureWorks to confirm Thanks for the replies
