Two foiled PVC cranks, 2 1/2" long, 7/8" tall, 1/2" thick at back, 5/16" at belly, 12.3 oz including the 3 grams of ballast.

The top bait has the ballast in the front hook hanger, which produced a wide X'ing action in previous baits of the same size.

I move the line tie up onto the forehead, 1/4" up from the lip, and the X is a much tighter wiggle, more like a rattle trap.

The lower bait has the line tie in the more conventional location, just above the lip, But I split the ballast, 1.6 grams just in front of the front hook hanger, and 1.4 grams just behind it.

This bait also has a much tighter X'ing action, similar to the first one.

The first bait is much more stable when burned back to the boat, and doesn't roll at all.

The second bait does roll a little on it's side when burned back to the boat.

I'm going to add a second, higher line tie of some of the previous baits I've made with this design, to see if it calms down their wide X'ing, and makes them more stable on a fast retrieve.

I'll keep you posted.
