Roach Jerkbaits

Made from beech. Photorealistic finish printed on decal paper with an inkjet printer. Envirotex lite is the top coat. The top of the bait is black createx and the bottom is a 50/50 mix of gold and silver pearlized createx. Hook hangers are 38mm stainless steel eyes. Thats it :)

Thanks for your kind comments guys :)

The decal used is opaque and has no foil underneath because there is no need. The beauty of a real life photo is it shows 'shine' eg chrome and when the top coat is applied it looks just as if it has been caught and come out of the water that second. The hardest part is manipulating the photo to fit the blank shape you are using. All the manipulation I have done is in Adobe Photoshop but I am sure there are plenty of other softwares available that will do the same job. You will notice on the baits the eye is oversized and the pelvic fin is oversized as well, this was done to give the pike/mukie (or whatever else feels like a nibble) a visual target spot, in real life a roach does not have such a huge eye or paddle like fins .When printed the colours need to be exagerated a little as a some colour is lost in the coating process, these baits are finished off with Etex.
