What's fun about designing wooden baits, is none are exactly the same. That's what makes it frustrating also. :)

What I was told as a young person; "A person who doesn't make errors, is a person who is doing nothing". The shame is when people don't learn from their errors.

Went to Toledo Bend yesterday. Weather forecast said winds of 3 to 8 MPH. I think the weatherman forgot to add a zero to the back of the 3 and 8. Weathermen.............don't ya just hate 'em?

Just the opposite, i love fishing slow! More intimate, almost seductive (ha ha!)

I usually get hammered with wind out here, which makes boat control difficult for my favorite techniques... But ive been lucky past couple of trips, just enough breeze to break up light from the surface in this new clear water hole ive been learning my way around

Thanks for taking all the wind out there Ben!

I have been doing fine. Went myself last week and caught 3 dinks on a modified crankbait. No luck on spinnerbaits or worms. First time I have been out in 4 mos. Life has just been too busy for me to enjoy fishing. But hopefully I will be back out tommorrow or Friday. Found some fish last time out in 10 ft of water. Going to try and crank some up with one of my coffin lips. Take care.

I do almost exclusively custom work. I don't do blatant knockoffs.

Seems like stupidity knows no bounds these days. The local power company wants me to sign up for one of their apps so I can be notified when the power goes off. It's been well over 100 degrees lately and the house immediately starts getting warm the instant the a/c goes off. Not to mention the glaringly obvious darkness when the lights don't come on at the flick of a switch. Even if the power went out while I was away from home what am I going to do about it? Call the power company?

No wonder your wanting to move. Can't say as I blame you. Getting the temp down to 85 is still about 15 degrees north of comfortable for me.

Well, things are returning to normal around here. The lakes headed back to more traditional levels for this time of year and it's finally gotten to be summertime. As a friend of mine used to put it "When you walk outside it smells like a woman ironing". (for those of you old enough to remember that)

Heating up big time here in RI! Water levels are pretty normal here this year. Water temps are about 80 right now, but with the heat we're having this week, I wouldn't be surprised to see them pushing close to 90 by the end of the week!

Rayburn has been over 9' high for several weeks now and man are the fish scattered. There are fish everywhere from 20' deep to so shallow they need sunscreen.

We've gotten a double share of the rain this spring Curt. I'd rather get it than not get it though. Shame we can't share some of it with the folks out west.
