Owe it all to JR Hopkins

Recommended Posts

I saw JR's and I liked them too. Havn't had a chance to give them a try yet. Yours look good. Your lure looks like a real fish. Very smooth and fluid and easy to start swimming at slow movement. I like the way those pectoral fins flare out.

Thanks for the kind words fellas.

@ Pete, I to wonder when we will be seeing this type of innovation in the near future. I guess only time will tell.

@ Dave, I can just see it now. JR is probably working on a remote control baby bass that works off of a key fob or maybe voice commands.

@ JR, I had already started working on a slightly different version of the beer can hinge. After I got your blessing, I went strait to the "LURE LAIR" & got started. I used the paint brush fanned out on painters tape & dipped the ends in some 30 min. epoxy. Then I slid a couple of hand bent 0.41 mm S/S wires (in the shape of a question mark) into the ends of the fins. It took a couple of tries, but seemed to work out O.K. Then I bent some wire in the shape of a staple & drilled two holes behind the head section & epoxied them in.

I like your idea better John. It seems like it wood be more durable. Man I would of loved to have that drawing you posted, a day earlier. Thanks again for sharing.

Here are some close That might help my explanations.

Tim
