Heat Setting question...

Recommended Posts

I don't trust that the first layer will be totally set if I wait and only heat set the last one.

Drying is one thing, using the heat to change the molecular bonds and make the paint water proof is something else.

I would be afraid that I would have to heat it so long to be sure in my own mind every coat was properly set that it might cause bubbling, or other problems.

I heat set on low to dry the paint so it doesn't move around on the lure, and then turn it up to high to make the paint waterproof.

A call or email the people at Createx should get you the definitive, horse's mouth answer. Of course, if you're not picky about which end of the horse you're talking to....there's always us.
