apharing
I was wondering what you used to weight your lures, especially smaller lures. I have a few swimbaits all carved now, but they float too high in the water, and i want them to be slow sinking. thanks -alex
BobP
Anything lead - fishing sinkers, lead solder, lead shot, lead tire weights, or cast lead ballast weights. Many use lead ballast/hook hangers on their baits. You can buy them from several online sources like lurehardware.com
DeltaMan
Anything lead - fishing sinkers, lead solder, lead shot, lead tire weights, or cast lead ballast weights. The flux is the stuff that when heated allows the lead to melt more quickly. If it is painted over and the lead is only covered by the paint the finish that gets put over it turns yellow from underneath the finish.
