Manny
Just put a finish coat on my lure with Devcon 2-ton, and was wondering just how many coats is sufficient ? It has a nice shiny coat now with one coat ( Thinned a little with DA )
BobP
I never use more than one coat of D2T. It's the thickest epoxy widely used as a topcoat, unless you thin it excessively. I sometimes use 3-5 drops of denatured alcohol in enough D2T for 2 baits in order to extend the brush time a little in hot weather, or to make it more brushable in cold weather. pizz
agree, 1 coat only. 2 coats can really make areas uneven if not applied right. its all a learning process.
