Manny
I know the surface has to be super smooth , I use devcon/DA for my seal... I used steel wool to get it real smooth and now the shinyness of the seal is gone.... will it hurt ? ( im pretty sure it penetrated ) How are you guys prepping for foil ? A lot of people use contact cement. I am not sure how smooth it really matters, other then the imperfections will show through the foil. When I foil I just use a spray adhesive and rub out the foil. I would say contact cement though, seems most use that.
mark poulson
I just did my first foil bait. It was an old rattle trap that my Daughters and I found Sunday on my Fathers Day gift fishing trip with them. I cleaned out the rust from the line tie and hook attachments, wet sanded it with 400 grit, and then I foiled it. I used Venture Foil, which is self adhesive. It is a dream to use. I think BobP is the one who posted the link, but, whoever it was, thank you!
