thanson
I was just wondering if anyone else has used Defthane Polyurethane as a top coat on their cranks before? If so how well did it hold up for you? I am considering trying it but would like to know if anyone else has ever used it.
mark poulson
When I first started making wood lures, I used rattle can paints and spray Deft to top coat. It worked find, but it was over solvent based paints, and the wood had about eight coats of primer, paint, and top coat on it. So the wood had soaked up a lot of oils from the paint. If you want to use it, I'd give the Deft company a call, and see if they recommend it for what you plan to do. There should be a phone number, or website, on the packaging.
