dahlski
I would like to duplicate the look of some small spoons for walleye. like the silver streak "jr streak" in the nascar pattern. Maybe someone familiar with the spoon could help. There are two different paint jobs for the same spoon. one opaque looking and one translucent looking. However when I try transluc paint I can not achieve the look. This is over a copper blank as theres is. I thenk it might be dye and not paint. I have searched hi and low to figure it out and now its time to ask. In Hagens catalogue they have dyed spinner blades that look like the same effect. Am planning on calling them on monday but figure there answer will be trade secret. Thanks in advance for your replies. Also anybody try out component system water based top coat that is as they claim tough as two part epoxy?
bobv
I use Spike-it Electra Chrome blade dip to color spinner bait blades and hooks. You can get it from Spike it or several of the distributors handle it. Works great. The component system top coat I tried sucked, too soft.
