primer

Recommended Posts

sorry to ask this question, i know that by and large most people use automotive primer for there undercoat, however i was reading in a pike book about marinating lures in a very thin primer for 30 mins to seal the wood, then once dry applying the primer over this coat that should have penetrated and sealed the wood

does anyone do anything like this, if so i was wondering if it was a wood primer or just thined down automotive primer, i heard of people using clear ronseal as a wood sealer, dunno if this would make any diffrence

cheers john
