sanding devcon

Recommended Posts

 Here's a quick tip on sanding Devcon. I use finger nail sculpting boards, with the foam center and sanding surfaces on both sides. The ones made by Trim or Revlon which you can buy at most Walmarts, grocery stores or drug stores. They help me in achieving an evenly sanded surface between two top coats. To extend the life of them I use my small shop vac to clean the dust from the boards after each lure. I even vacuum the dust from the lure. The boards can also be washed with warm water. With a little practice you can achieve an even surface of the Devcon without sanding to deep (most of the time) and cutting into the painted surface. Thus giving you a good tooth (bite) for the final top coat to adhere. It aslo helps me in seeing any spots that I may have missed while applying that last coat. B)
