Jelutong

Recommended Posts

After quite a search, I have found a local supplier of Jelutong. I wanted to try some but the smallest piece they have is 8/4 x 12" x 12' at a cost of about $75. So, before I take this leap, I'd like to hear some opinions.

I know that some manufacturers like Lee Sisson are using it in place of balsa because it has the same properties, but is more durable. I'd be using it to make my version of the old bagley BB-4 that I use for Musky. Any opinions on Jelutong would be appreciated. Thanks.
