BowfinBoy95 Posted February 7, 2005 Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 i saw this stuff in janns netcraft called plastidip. is it good for use as a clearcoat for lures? says its rubbery..dunno if thats a good thing or not. and i see alot of products meant for rod building that provide one step clearcoats..seems easier than mixin up epoxy. how are these in terms of durability and water resistance. another thing..i cant even find devcon stuff in my area..its irritating. any other brands of epoxy that work just as well??? SeminoleFan Posted February 7, 2005 Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 plastidip is used to put a non-slip grip on tools like plier's. It wouldnt work for a top coat over a bait. JMHO. I have used the Loctite brand of 30 minute epoxy from Lowe's Or HomeDepot. It works about the same, except its a little more expensive.
