Has anybody tried using Excalibur or melins' magic for molds

Recommended Posts

Both of these molding materials have far exceeded any other types of casting materials in durability, strength and detail. These are both used to cast dental molds, and from tests they are almost 5x's stronger than bondo and durhams. Is there any problems with making a 2-piece mold with these? Husky, if you read this, I want to let you know that your hardbait tutorial is the simplest most informative and practical one I've seen. Is there a particular brand or type of bondo you prefer?

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment and I am happy you found it useful. No, I use whatever Auto Zone or VIP has on the shelf. Just be sure you do it outside if at all possible, as the stuff does stink.
