Depending on where you live, the crafish will differ. Having said that, you will probably find that there are many different types of crafish in your state. I have not found the exact reason to why crafish change colors (and they do) but I think it is either temperature of clarity of the water. I live in Missouri and here is a link to the types of crafish found in my state. I had no idea there was soooooooooooo many different types, but it did open up my imagination to the paint schemes I could create. Ever wonder why a full moon makes for good fishing?????? crawdads spawn every 30 days on a full moom......WOW!!! you say..........put your thinking cap on and now you can understand why sometimes fish are on crawdads and why they are on shad. BB Posted August 27, 2005 Author Report Share Posted August 27, 2005 i did a search on pa crayfish.i could not find pictures of all of them just a few.but it said there are 13 native spices and a few out of state crayfish.it also said they take on the color of there surroundings.like rock mud and vegetation.pretty much any color combination.but i did find a good diagram top and bottom to use.maybe some of you can use it to make your own.
