  1. Yes you can, I do it all the time. Just make sure when you apply the other colors you do not burn the first one. Low heat and pay attention to what you are doing. Once all your colors are done, gloss over, and bake your jig in the oven to harden it. You will be good to go. Take a look at my avatar there are 6 colors on that jig all powder paint. Also baking your base coat will help stop paint bleed and all of your other colors will be true. Experiment is the key here, but it definitely works.

  3. As Cadman already mentioned, you can do that. I do it on colors like Table Rock Shad which is a while belly, chartreuse body and a purple back. If I don't cure the chartreuse first, the purple over top of the chartreuse will turn brown when cured together so I do one then cure it again. I also do the same thing for the illusion paint, paint the vein base then cure for 10 minutes at 350 and let air cool and then go over with the candy color, it does the same thing, it keeps the top layer from blending with the bottom layer but it does bond together, it just doesn't allow the colors to bleed.

  5. As stated earlier, shipping fees are a big issue for you, so other members talked about it. I don't see a problem there? At any rate, I hope you find the silver you're looking for, and if it has to be shipped, they ship it at a price that's suitable for you

  8. Hey Travis, thank you for the honest input. I certainly wouldn't be pursuing this full time if I was pushing a gimmick. I started pursuing the concept because I couldn't find a solution to a problem. River fishing for walleye with shad raps but unable to adapt to structure / depth changes quick enough by changing lures. Nothing on the market could do it, and after years of R&D and patents I know why. It was a nightmare to find the correct weight shift, ballast, bouncy, line tie points, etc... Lots of hotel swimming pool testing. Anyway, we have a rock solid product and I want to enhance the hell out of it. What's even more appealing is that the action changes in between depth settings as well, and it gives the angler a whole slew of actions to present. Granted, the depth variance is the largest in the industry, but it's not going to hit the bottom of a twenty foot hole. I'll post a few videos soon and you can judge for yourself. I appreciate the critique, and I'm definitely looking to get a few pros to test them out. They perform, and have a ton of thoughtful features aside from the variable depth aspect. Anyway, the website is a work in progress, and any additional input you have is appreciated. I'll be happy to put my money where my mouth is with this lure any day btw.

  9. I've bent .041" with my Hagen's with no problem, I'm assuming you got the large wire conversion that allows bending wire up to .051"? What I noticed is the heavier the wire the more effort you have to use to push the handle forward while twisting, it is easy to keep pressure while twisting smaller wire but once I go over .035" then I have to push harder.

  10. I tried a couple brands that foamed like that and eventually went back to MF. If you want to stay with your current brand, I have a resolution, although it sounds crazy. Go to Home Depot and get Zep brand no foam. I believe it comes in like an 8 to 10 ounce jug, and it's actually intended to be used in carpet cleaners. If memory serves me right, I used a couple cap fulls in a gallon of plastic. Solved the problem, and didn't effect the plastisol in any way. btw.....that problem drove me nuts until I discovered that! Good luck

  12. Well Ray.......I feel like a complete idiot here. I had so many of those molds, you'd think I would remember the number! I'm not positive, but I believe it's 5X078. Here is the link...... http://www.lurecraft.com/Plastic-Mold-078/productinfo/5X078/ Pretty hard to tell because the pics are so small. You might try contacting Kim with the above pic........just to make sure.
