  1. Yes, and it is not easy to get it right. Usually if I make my own water slide decals I use only enough acrylic clear to protect the ink and then I can stretch the decal to get it right. Go slow and use very warm water, and good luck.

  2. I have never been able to use a glitter color in the fluid bed with consistent results. What happens is the glitter doesn't suspend as high so the top of the jig being further down in the cup ends up with all the glitter. I take a glitter color and use a small bowl, I can swish the head through it and get a good coat and then just take the bowl and give it a little shake and you're ready to go again.

  3. I'll check on this, thanks for the heads up. I was gonna do schedule 40 but maybe I'll step it up to schedule 80? I've still got some time to think about the final setup for the shop while my neck and shoulder heal. Ive got the airbrush and paints on the way. Honestly I'm so excited to paint that I'll end up setting up in my office for now. My shop needs some pretty serious work done before I can start setting up in there. Edit: just googled it, you guys are right! Looks like the correct choice is a pipe that's a combination of aluminum and hdpe (almost looks like pex from the outside). It's a little bit more $ than pvc but it's not unreasonable. Thanks for pointing that out

  4. Ayetti I don't think running your air from the compressor through PCV pipe is a good idea. You can run everything you have off that compressor. I run my airbrush from a 8 gal. compressor on my back porch through air hose down to my basement area for painting, with a regulator for the airbrushes that I use, much more quiet too. Good Luck Wayne

  5. Tried my hand at making a two color tubes for a buddy of mine. It's alright, but also a lot of work too.

  6. Thanks guys. Did a test run today and mixed for less than a minute. Had plenty of working time and it went on thinner.

  7. I Rock fish out of the Central Coast area, primarily out of Morro Bay. I make most of my own jigs as well. I airbrush vertical type jigs and top coat with Solarez, D2T or recently with KBS. They hold up fairly well as long as they aren't dragging along the rocks, but not as well as powder coat. I would not recommend airbrushing for jig heads as the rocks tear them up pretty quickly.

  10. Not a pissing match @ all. Simple FACTS about selling baits and operating a legitimate business.

  11. Incorrect! It only takes one legitimate businessman to inform the I.R.S. of your "under the table" operation and they will investigate you. The interest and penalties may far excede what you owe. They want their 10% excise tax on gross sales.BTW- the 10% excise tax you pay is deductible from for gross income when you file year end taxes.

  13. Once you begin to sell as a money making proposition, you're a business, and need to go totally legit. Get an accountant, and do it right or you'll pay for it later. It's like being a little pregnant. No such thing.
