  1. On my personal baits I use Gamakatsu, Daiichi, and KVD short shank trebles. Japanese brands tend to use harder tempered steel which stays sharper longer and bends out less than the VMC (in my experience). Nothing against VMC but I don’t like taking the time to resharpen trebles while fishing. The short shank KVDs because their design and sizes are uniquely suited for upsizing trebles on baits where other brands tend to tangle, and tangling is one thing I can’t accept on any crankbait.

  2. The KVD short shank. Not cheap...but the darn things are sharp and you can up size one hook size on most baits due to the short shank.

  3. I like some of evryones molds, but when it comes to tube molds i think Josh has the best by far. I shoot my double dipper quite often & I've only had one bad bunch, but it was my fault. I fish a lot of tubes & i have a couple buddys that have became tube finatics after watching me fish them. Now i have to make them for them too & they're really happy with the baits this mold produces as well.

  4. This is a pre-made bai that started out as white . The pictures don’t do it any justice but it has a copper pearl to it but it was done with plastic coloant and clear for lureworks

  5. Lisa and Ed never gave me any money..... But I have had nothing but great service and quality from their products... That's why all of my tackle making friends use them too.

  6. Oh yes. I understand that. You should have seen the look on her face when I pulled up the house with a Grady White Gulfstream hooked up to the truck. But she's put up with me for 30 years. She also thinks I'm crazy doing this. I'm retired now and we talked about it some. I'm going to go with either the second Griffin or the Apex. If This starts to work out the Saltwater vise will be under the tree. Going out to get a airbrush and parts to build a fluid bed, either three or four chambers. Thanks.
