  1. The gate doesn’t look too restrictive. It’s almost as big as the worm judging from the pics. Not like some where the gate necks down to less than 50% of the worm diameter.

  2. I think you will find, denting is a combo of gates and venting in hand molds. I have took my exact senco mold, and eliminated half of the venting and it dented to beat hell. I think this is the issue you will find with this mold is the venting is insufficient. Now we can argue about venting all day, But don't expect me to argue back, As I know what works for us..

  3. I use twisted wire hangars also. (Most of the time) With twisted wire hangars there is probably 3 or more times more contact for the epoxy and wood. Most of the time I also either drill my hangar or line tie holes all the way through. If it is too far, say with a tail hook, then I drill the hole deep enough for the hangar, then I drill a vent hole in from the top of the bait. Holding the bait, tail up, I start 30 min epoxy in the hangar hole, then I warm the epoxy with my heat gun and keep adding epoxy until it comes out the vent hole. It doesn't take too long because there is no air lock like there is with a dead end hole.

  4. if your having issues with that mold 10 minutes is way too long. Depending on how warm your mold is you should be able to de-mold about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes after shooting; maybe sooner. You'll have to experiment a little to find the sweet spot for this mold.

  6. I have it. It’s definitely very soft and solid product

  7. Bait Plastics is solid and there’s several formulas to choose from. Definitely pre heat your mold and don’t get air in the injector. Make sure your plastic is hot enough and sets up all the way or it’s not gonna shoot right.

  8. Hand poured baits get bit. They don’t have to be 100% perfect. Just a thought. You could use a laminate plate for your injection mold Lurecraft sells a plastic dispensing gun. Perhaps that could help with layers but most likely it sounds like practicing and feel is going to get you the results you’re looking for with either method.

  9. If you search southern plastics on YouTube they show the Roboworms being hand poured by a machine. Similiar to a CNC machines except its injecting plastic not cutting but same idea. I beleive its near the end of the video but still worth watching the whole thing.

  10. Do you guys think the appendages of baits made with baitplastics medium are stretchier then they were when using medium in other brands. I have used lureworks & baitjunkys( calhouns) & they were definitely tougher with it. At first i didn't think i was going to like it, but baitplastics is growing on me since it seems to take heat very good & the colors of the baits seems to be more clear & shiny & show the glitter better using the same identical recipies. I may try some medium hard next time i shoot & see how it compares to medium in the other two. I will say though that i was completely happy with both baitjunkys & lureworks.

  11. Or you could be like me. Add hardener, then find out it's too hard, then add softener, then too soft, repeat......
