  1. I recieved my order from backwateroutfitting.com. I ordered some down looking eyes and some lipless and deep diving jerkbaits and I'd say the blanks are as good as most other suppliers ,I've bought alot worse thats for sure!!! The shipping wasn't the fastest , I ordered on a Saturday and recieved them the following Saturday, they shipped from Texas to Tennessee. Some of their blanks are listed as high quality but the ones I ordered wasn't listed as such, but I have no complaints about the quality of them. Hope this helps!!! (Check out there kahuna tuna!!! Its 16" long!!!! Dont know why but I want one!!!)

  2. You can try. It all comes down to pigment size. Airbrush paints are manufactured to have very fine pigment for ease in spraying. I would thin with 4012. If it clogs your brush you can try straining any larger particle and with pantyhose or coffee filter, etc... I had some cheap hobby paint and manged to strain it. Really boils down to how much time do you want to spend when their are already products out there.

  3. Here is the way I see it. You just have to worry about yourself. You cannot stop what you are talking about. So you just need to do it better than everyone else. It is not an easy thing to do. Being the best never is. Bottom line is.....How bad you want it? Skeeter

  4. I lightly sand the old lure to erase any imperfections and give the surface a little “tooth” to promote paint adhesion , then squirt a little dish soap on it and give it a quick wash. Dry with a clean cloth and ready to paint. Don’t see the need for solvents.
