  2. I simply pull the wire over a wooden dowel at 90 degrees. Works well enough. Dave

  3. Placing the worm head on a white chip for a day or two should reveal bleed from the dye used. I imagine the bleed is so slow most people dont notice it. Hang on to a worm for a year or two and if it turns all one color then theres more proof. From a production stand point it would seem you have to have these made up well in advance to achieve the right look before sending them to market. Sounds like a hassle to me.

  5. Windshield washer fluid works well for me. Gallon jug less than 3 bucks and no ammonia Used to add alcohol 25% but did not see a difference. Some of the off brand acrylics I will add a couple drops of dawn detergent, . Ive started a final rinse using lacqure thinner and no dirty gun since

  6. raw blanks I wash with dawn detergent and hot water, quick rinsne them never touch. glove may help but touching or even sneezing can leave some oils that are hard to remove. I have used fish eye eliminator from auto paint store with success and you can get a spray oil and silicone remover spray and clean with that. Both work but are expensive

  7. Ive used a number of automotive clear poly urethanes but usually use diamond clear I do my own, use automive clears when a buddy can spare a couple ounces. they have limited shelf life once opened. If you are painting, the Diamond clear is a good option to try, Sorry I only paint my own

  8. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/34979-devcon-2-ton-problems/ I had one new tube that was bad. I think it had been sitting in the store for quite a while. I didn't notice it was slightly cloudy when I bought it. I had a second tube go bad because I left it in my car overnight in winter.

  9. I did however find a good use for the bad tube... since i also make soft baits, i used it to seal my masters... doesn't matter if theyre cloudy, as long as theyre smoothe and shiny I use alot of devcon too, so getting the one bad tube is not indicitive of the quality of the product... theres no telling how many good tubes i went thru before and after that one... I always say D2T is like the Franks Red Hotsauce of my shop.... i put that sh*t on everything

  10. Yup... i got a bad tube once before, but only once.... also i run into difficulty in cold weather (unless i preheat the epoxy and everything it touches)... and the last bit in the tube never mixes right and can be cloudy sometimes
